Dr Paraskevi Pantazopoulou
Dr Paraskevi Pantazopoulou has M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and Ph.D. in Engineering in “Materials Science and Technology” from the National Technical University of Athens.
She has been an adjunct instructor since 2002 in Technical Educational Institute of Piraeus (since 2013 in Piraeus University of Applied Sciences) and since 2108 in University of West Attica, in the Departments of Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design and Production Engineering. She has participated in the teaching of the laboratory part of the following courses: Construction Materials, Ecology and Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Electrotechnical Materials, Electrochemistry, Electric Circuits and Electrical Measurements.
The last three (3) years she has taught the theory of the course “Construction Materials” in undergraduate students of the Department of Civil Engineering and the courses ”Construction Materials” and “Ecology and Environmental Chemistry” in English in students within the program ERASMUS+ at the Department of Civil Engineering in University of West Attica. Since 2014 she has participated in the teaching of two (2) courses within the Postgraduate Program “Policies and Applied Methods for the Protection of the Environment” in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of West Attica.
She is the co-author of lecture notes: “Construction Materials – Laboratory Course Notes”, Department of Civil Engineering, and “Laboratory of Electrotechnical Materials”, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, University of West Attica. She has participated in three (3) funded Research Projects in Technical Educational Institute of Piraeus. She has co-supervised diploma thesis of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Technical Educational Institute of Piraeus, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and National Technical University of Athens.
Her publications include 16 articles in peer-reviewed International Scientific Journals (283 citations, Scopus, 12-2022), 27 publications in International Referred Congress Proceedings and 29 publications in Greek referred congress proceedings. She speaks fluently four (4) foreign languages. Her research interests include the study and corrosion protection of metallic materials and reinforced concrete, mainly through innovative materials of anticorrosion protection.
