Short Biography: Alexandros Pappas received his Diploma of Mathematics in 1995, his M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics in 2002 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics in 2006 from the National Technical University of Athens. He also worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Applied and Computational Mathematics under the financial support of the State Scholarship Foundation (I.K.Y.). During the years 2006-2011 he worked in several Greek Universities and Technological Educational Institutes. From January 2012 until September 2013 he was an Assistant Professor at the General Department of Mathematics, Division Mathematics, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences (Technological Education Institute of Piraeus). From 01/09/2013 until 10/04/2016 he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering Department, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences. From 11/04/2016 until 01/03/2018 he was an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering Department, Piraeus University of Applied Sciences and from 02/03/2018 he belongs to the teaching and research staff of the Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, University of West Attica (UNIWA) as an Associate Professor. His research interests lie in the areas of Functional Analysis, Harmonic Analysis, Computation Mathematics, Matrix Analysis and Applied Linear Algebra. He has published more than 15 journal papers in high-quality international journals concerning the above areas.
